Quality is not a relative term.
It’s the result of vision, focus and the painstaking dedication to details that transforms a concept into a respected, tangible reality. At VitaLuce Cellars, we’ve spent what many might consider to be an inordinate amount of time focusing on the elements necessary to surpass the definition of “quality.”

Wine connoisseurs around the world will appreciate the exacting methods of our winemakers. The use of French oak barrels, cutting-edge vinification, hand-selected, premium fruit grown to our specifications, and our state-of-the-art winemaking practices, and extended aging in the barrel and bottle simply make our wine unsurpassed in quality.

Our vision is to bottle “a little bit of adventure” into every wine we make by crafting wines in the unique styles of the great wine making regions of the world. We will source our fruit, refine our blending strategies, and adopt the “best of breed” winemaking techniques to produce outstanding wines year after year. In the process we will open international doors and establish friendships and partnerships around the world so that ultimately, we produce a limited series of premium wines for our families, friends and for aficionados such as yourself who appreciate the difference between a product borne out of pride versus a wine whose integrity is dictated solely by the “bottom line.”

Our goal is to bring our wines to as many people as possible using a combination of traditional and new channels of distribution. The wine industry, like many industries, is in the midst of tremendous change. The internet has challenged traditional thinking and broken down barriers in getting wine to consumers. We embrace these changes. Our objective is to make this website as user-friendly as possible, whether you are a customer or a valued trade partner. We also greatly appreciate and support our partners in the traditional channels. They have a big job to do and we thank them for doing it. Please feel free to contact us at any time with ideas or suggestions.

Our name—VitaLuce—quite simply means “The Brilliance of Life” and we look forward to enhancing the brilliant moments in your life!

VitaLuce signs distribution agreement with Frank-Lin Distributors
Vita Luce Cellars enters into a distribution agreement with Frank-Lin Distillers for nationwide distribution. “We are thrilled to enter into this partnership,” states Kim Bauer, VP Marketing for VitaLuce Cellars. “Frank-Lin, with their nationwide distribution, will allow us to bring VitaLuce wines to customers across the country.” Frank-Lin Distillers is distribution partner that has earned its reputation selling rare, boutique wines. “We found VitaLuce wines to be a good fit with our customer base and like the long term vision and brand strategy that the company has”, states Cary, Distributor Rep of Frank-Lin Cellars. “Our goal is to establish VitaLuce in the Southwestern part of the states within one year and take them nationwide within two years.”

2007 Harvest 30% low
The weather on the planet has been strange this year, with an unexpected freeze severely impacting grape yields. According to our inside reports with growers, overall yield in Paso Robles this fall is about 30% below normal, which means 2007 production of VitaLuce wines will be less than anticipated. HOWEVER, the quality of the fruit is as good as ever. “The Syrah and Cabernet grapes have been harvested and the fruit has all the characteristics we are looking for. The skins are thick and the grapes are sweet so we’ll be able to produce the intense flavors in our red wines that our customers expect from us. With the recent drop in temperature, we decided to leave the Viognier on the vines for another week or so to bring up the sugars. Even though the yield is down, 2007 has potential to produce some of our best wines yet,” states Paul Vittori. This is good news for our dedicated customers. Remember, our wine club members have “priority access” to the 2007 releases which gives one all the more reason to sign up now for Club Luminous. Priority access to new releases….case discounts…..what’s not to love?
